What 27 clubs and two leagues told us about digital, data and AI, and what's needed for the next stage of growth.
Hey there!
I am excited today! Not just because I’ve touched down in sunny Paris for the SportGen Summit, but also because we have just launched snapSHOT: Digital, Data and Artificial Intelligence in Women’s Football, our first market intelligence report.
I wanted to tell you all about it - and invite you to dive in with us!

What is snapSHOT all about?
After four years working on sports innovation and technology readiness and adoption at READY, we turned the lens on women’s football specifically.
We set out to understand what clubs and leagues are working with as they build for growth: their fan engagement priorities, approaches to fan data, digital tools and infrastructure, use of AI, and the structural constraints. To do this, between February and May 2026, we undertook consultations with 27 professional and semi-professional women’s football clubs and two leagues across 16 markets.
The insights point to a significant moment for women’s football. There is huge commercial and audience growth potential, but many clubs are still building the digital and operational infrastructure needed to sustain that growth.
The snapSHOT report is supported by Data Talks, whose expertise in fan monetization and data has helped guide our focus on one of women’s football’s biggest commercial opportunities: fan growth.
